USERGROUPS

I have set up usergroups for forum access reasons. I have groups set up for all the "private" games. But right now most of the forums are still public.

Right now the two new forums: Fading Suns and 7th Sea: Fate of Kings (and spy pond slayes) are set on group only mode. That means that you have to join the group to read the forum. That also means if you are not playing and don't want to read for tat game, you don't have to.

To Join: Click on usergroups in the menu at the top of all pages. choose the group you want to join. click the 'join group' button.

Group/forum mods: click on usergroups and then view information for the group you control. from here you can approve members requests to join or just plain add members by username.

Could you open up the Fading Suns forum for now? The sign up thread is in that forum and I don't feel like adding all those users to the group.

You can open up Spy Pond Slayers, I've got no problem with other people reading or posting in there.

The Bowl and STDs have gone private. If you don't have access and would like to join the necessary Usergroup (Sports Freaks or Techno Hounds).

Lost Histories II is now private. Most people won't notice because the viewing usergroup was set up and has members.

Spoiler Tag is currently non-existant because I removed it to add the updated inline version (Something Awful style). Which will be added soon.

I am in the process of upgrading the board to the most recent version of phpbb because there have been a large number of bug & security fixes.

Spoiler Tags are back. and a bit neater.

We are now up to date on the latest phpbb.

I added a field in the profile for Video Game ids. Profile --> Public Info --> Video gaming --> Enter here (remember that you need to hit submit button before switching tabs or sections or it won't save)

Info is displayed on main profile page.

Willis-

Any way to set the default on link-clickage to new tab/window? That was the old way, and I think a better way.

Other folk-

If this is possible, do you not want it?

I too preferred that way, but I haven't seen a way to make it do that again. I check again.

Looks like it's possible, but will have to wait until I have the time and energy to tackle it.

I do want it. I always end up closing the window, thinking I'm closing a tab.
